How Can I be Saved?
ADMIT YOU ARE A SINNER IN NEED OF A SAVIOR
Everyone is born a sinner and has done wrong things. All people have broken and fall short of God's law. Our sin separates us from God because God is perfect and must punish sin.
-
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Rom 3:23)
-
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Rom 6:23)
BELIEVE THAT GOD LOVES YOU AND SENT HIS SON JESUS TO DIE FOR YOU
Because God is just and must punish sin, He sent His son Jesus to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin. Jesus lived a perfect life but willingly gave His life as a substitute so we could be forgiven for our sins.
-
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom 5:8)
-
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
CHOOSE BY FAITH ALONE TO ACCEPT HIS GIFT OF SALVATION
Since Jesus died for our sins, He freely offers the gift of salvation to all who will put their faith in Him alone for salvation. We cannot earn our salvation by our good works. Believe that Jesus is God and died for your sins. Ask Him to forgive you from all your sin. Choose to turn to Him as your Lord and Savior.
-
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Eph 2:8-9)
-
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (IJohn 1:9)
-
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Rom10:9-10)
